Wtf there is a steelbook run now! LOL

Everyone is ordering what they can.

Especially now Zavvi & Amazon have conquered the steelbook market, steelbooks will vanish faster then they appeared (worldwide delivery, many steelbook collectors in North America. Probably more than in Europe, since demand for entertainment is higher in North-America ).

I have to add money to my prepaid credit cards before everything is gone lol!
Need to get a lot of those titles. I see Hulk is sold out, Bourne is also sold out .

You can still get a good chunk of these cheaper on Play for the moment anyways, no rush for me.

Most of these don't even appear to be still available via play.com
And the ones that are some are above the amazon price.

Anyway I've ordered serenity and hellboy 2. After vat is removed I'm only paying 11.66 pounds so not much more than what play had them for and at least amazon ship to Australia.

Looks like they changed the release dates for them. I'm seeing February 11th, 17th, and 19th for the ones I looked at.

For starters, its horizontal which looks horrible.

More importantly, the disc itself is faulty. A lot of people (including myself) had to send these back to Play.com. Its basically to do with the layer change halfway throught the film (I forget the exact time, it might be around 1hr 50 mins I think) - the disc just freezes and you cant get past it.

For some reason, only the play.com steelbook discs are affected by this. My old amaray one was fine. I ended up buying the Spanish steelbook which was much nicer anyway (it hasnt got a silver band around the edges according to the picture on this site and its vertical too). No problems with the disc of course which is the same as the UK (no Spanish on menus etc).
I personally like the German steelbook the best TBH.

So I am new to this whole steelbook phenomena that is taking over the world and I have a question about these ones. Does the steelbook look like it does in the pic or is that just supposed to look like a shot with the steel book opened?

They open like every other steelbook.

The front and back art is just landscape rather than portrait.

Scott Pilgrim just dropped to 9.99GBP! It's the only one that's dropped so far. Comes to 11.41GBP, or about $18US shipped.

people need to use the 'tell us about a lower price' link and put some pressure on Amazon to lower their prices.

I may be getting a couple of those....Namely TIH and maybe one more....but I'm not confident in Amazon.uk's shipping methods internationally for one or two of these....
