WMV dvds - Blu-ray Forum

Hey has anyone tried playing the second disc HD WMV dvd's like the special edition T2 and Stepping Into Liquid on the PS3? Don't wanna try them and have then screw-up the unit.

what is a wmv dvd?

You're not going to break anything playing an incompatible disk.

THose two titles had a second disc (HD) that needed your computer's Windows Media Video HD to play. The KiSS DP-600 was originally supposed to play those discs but because the unit was Linux based, it wouldn't in the end.

The last PS3 update or two enabled WMV file playback so I kinda put two and two together and wondered if it indeed would turn out to be four!

theres a difference between a video codec and video software.

Playstation 3 does not emulate windows media player.
