Did we ever get the uncut release of this? A listing in the database suggest we did, but it might just be an erroneous listing.

To my knowledge they've all been censored.

We've only had one release on Blu-ray - just the stock standard one. 2 DVD releases though with the uncut version - the original single disc release and the 2-disc definitive edition.

Wouldn't be surprised if Fox might release the uncut version to coincide with A Good Day to Die Hard's Blu-ray release. We've had a few box sets already so an uncut #4 and maybe remasters of the others would be the selling points for future releases.

Uncut is probably on DVD only with the Blu set, as in some european countries. You can download legally thought the HD 1080p uncut version on Vudu or iTunes.

Why is it that the uncut version doesn't qualify for a Blu-Ray release? I mean the only difference as I understand it is some dialog replacement and a few splats of CGI blood.

They probably keep it for the 5 films box set, with hopefully a remastered version of all the three first films. Die Hard 3 zoomboxing always bothered me.
