A defiant Lionsgate still refuses to give us a remastered complete blu ray
edition of "Jesus of Nazareth". In addition to the German and Mexican blu ray releases .Spain has also released a remastered version. Same two scenes still missing |

There is a Mexican Import, but I wouldn't mind seeing this someday in the United States. It was probably one of the first films that I saw when I was at a younger age and I couldn't even finish it. I was balling my eyes out when they were crucifying him.
This thread would be better in the Wish List sub-forum, though ![]() |

It appears Lionsgate is refusing once again to release a restored U.S. blu ray edition of "Jesus of Nazareth" for Easter. To date the best available is the version released by Spain. which is the complete version with the two missing scenes restored
Mod edit: The Spanish corrected disc says, on the second line under the back cover's actor pictures: JESÚS de NAZARETH © 1977 INCORPORATED TELEVISION COMPANY RADIOTELEVISIONE ITALIANA Edición y Autoría © 2012 FILMAX HOME VIDEO. Sorry to bring the bad news, but I think the Spanish release (2nd version) is better since it's uncut! The other releases have cut 2 important scenes. edit: Oops, i see it says so in the first post! |
