Default Die Hard Movie Marathon...Anybody Going?

So how many of you boys and girls will be attending the Die Hard Movie Marathon at select theaters on Feb. 13th?

Weather permitting (I live in the snowbelt capital of North America) I plan on being at the
Cinemark Tinseltown USA and XD theater, in North Canton to see it.

It will be a treat to see the first four Die Hard flicks up on the giant screen once again.
Then capping off the night with a screening of the brand new Die Hard movie.

No, mainly because it's a weekday. But even if were a Saturday I'd have to really think about it. I attended the Indiana Jones marathon last September and my behind was so numb I was almost limping out of the theater. This is a five-movie marathon - I'll have to be carried outta there after it was over . Besides, I don't think I'll be able to sit through the 3rd and 4th films. By the time 5 starts rolling I'll probably be in a state of catatonia.

I'm going. Not sure if I'll stay for the whole thing but I definitely want to see the first three on the big screen (saw 4 when it was new, and I might be able to get into a free screening of 5 the day before).

In particular, I want to see the 4K transfer they did of Die Hard. I guess there's still no guarantee it will be in the marathon, but I really don't know why else they would've created one (Die Hard is playing here in the marathon and in the UK by itself).

How long were the breaks between movies?
If they were long enough you could have gone for a walk.

Being able to stretch your legs, especially after sitting for long periods of time, helps to keep
blood clots from forming and your tush from getting sore.

On a side note: it's to bad that theater chains don't pop there corn in organic
virgin coconut oil and use real butter anymore.

That would help make the back to back movie watching more enjoyable.
Because that canola oil and artificial butter flavoring additive they use now taste like crap.

I didn't realize they're hosting a Die Hard marathon in Canton. If I can talk my fiancee in to going, I'd love to see Die Hard on the big screen.

Do those theaters have extra large screens and JBL custom sound systems, like the Cinemark XD auditoriums?

What a deal with all the added concession specials. On top of that its only $25 where here at AMC its $35 with nothing special except the same poster prolly and AMC $5 stubs reward if you're a member. Any clue why AMC would be $10 higher than other cinemas (which seems expensive) without any real good concession specials? What they expect you to do. Buy their expensive drinks/food for 12 hours straight?

Was gonna go but feeling a bit ripped off if i do now.http://www.amctheatres.com/events/die-hard-marathon

There are three Cinemark theaters in the state of Florida with XD auditoriums.

Boynton Beach, Cinemark Boynton Beach 14 & XD
Davie, Cinemark Paradise 24 & XD
Jacksonville, Cinemark Tinseltown & XD

Cinemark has the best Die Hard Movie Marathon deal.

The only Cinemark XD theater in IL., that's showing the Die Hard Marathon, according to there website, is in Evanston.

Will you be there?

That would be so cool to hang out with Bruce for the marathon.

Wonder what kind of snacks they'll be serving him?

Here's the list of Regal theaters participating:http://www.regmovies.com/die-hard-marathon

I'm thinking of checking it out, $20 is not bad for watching Die Hard for the first time on a big screen (I've never seen the original 2 Die Hards ever, so it's an added bonus).

I only hope I can leave and come back, because I have class right in the middle of this so I'd have to miss Die Hard 2. Then I'd come back for 3, leave for 4, and come back for 5.

I imagine that they could stamp your hand like at the amusement parks.

Can't believe you've never seen the first two Die Hard movies.

Nope. I am already taking off from work for the Oscars. Otherwise, I'd definitely do it.

I went to see The Impossible this weekend there and saw the huge standee promoting it.
