I was wondering how many others collect 3D Blu-ray titles without having a set-up to actually enjoy them on. So far I have 33 titles (not counting ones I have pre-ordered). I have yet to see any of my own purchases on a 3D set-up at all. How about you?

This thread seems to be polar opposite of "3D is dead"

So if you don't have a 3d setup, but plan on getting one in the next couple of years, should I buy 3d blus? Or do you have to have a 3d setup in order to watch the movies? I huess I'm asking if you currently don't have a 3d set up would a 3d blu ray still be playable?

I like this thread, it poses an interesting question. I feel the way others do here, I like 3D, just haven't made the jump to a 3D television for whatever reason. I currently own 40, with a few more on the way; also, having plans for more.

I have over thirty 3D blu's.
I have a 3D computer monitor, and three pairs of 3D glasses, and currently no drivers installed or emitter plugged in. There's two emitters in the house... somewhere! I also have a 3D projector with no glasses. Can I ask y'all a question? Please don't tell me to plug the computer into the projector, cause they're both in their own little worlds and I like 'em that way. But in the hunt for DLP Link glasses I read I think on the avforums that 60hz glasses will run gaming, and 144hz will run blus. The ones in my eBay watchlist however state they are 120hz. Will they work for blu? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3D-Active...ht_5871wt_1397 |

You do know you can make a 3d category and transfer all your 3d blus into it, then your wish will come true! :-D

Anytime my friend ;-) just go to your profile and add a custom category and everytime you get a new movie when you add it be sure to add it to the proper categories whatever they may be.

I'm up to about fifteen 3D blus and there's little likelihood I'll have a 3D tv this year, which is fine. All of them still have the 2D counterpart except for Alice in Wonderland (bought it at a pawn shop and the 2D blu disc was missing).

I did this. I was probably around 20 or so before I picked up a 3d capable display. I saw it was a future-proof, most of the time the 3d version was only $5 or less above the non-3d version so I saw it as a non-issue. Paid off in the end and by the time I picked up my 3d tv I was up to 50+ 3d movies ready to be watched.
