Not too sure about how this is going to look like on Blu-ray. I had to get rid of the DVD version because the video was so bad.

That's still the work in progress. I had a chat with them about the French special edition and they're still undecided on what features will be included or soundtrack

The international uncut version with the US score and dubbing was the best. It's the edition with the red cover and a fist coming through it

I agree. For me, it's like watching Cyber City Oedo 808 without the Manga UK score. The original Japanese music is dire.

If nothing else, it'll finally be nice to have an anamorphic transfer of this movie. Every DVD release I've seen has been abysmal. I do have 2 questions though:

1. Will this be region free?

2. Where are people getting that there will be no English dub on this release? I can't find hardly any information on the disc itself other than it's coming.

No one has said there won't be an English dub. Manga have said they are not sure what dubbing or score they are using

It seems like every time someone announces a new version it's just the same old transfer repurposed, so I won't be rushing to get this. I've got the R4 Madman DVD which will do for now.

Love the US dub though, I can't imagine why they wouldn't include it!

It's safe to say his wn't be region free.

As Sony Music Entertainment are credited on the front, I'd expect it to be the US soundtrack at least.

been waiting for this for a while. had it on VHS many moons ago and it wasn't great quality then. every other copy i've seen look grainy

No, no and no. French and Japanese audio, French subtitles.

As long as it has the original Japanese audio and it's uncut, I might pick this up. None of the DVDs looked any better than the laserdisc. However, I can't take the English dub and its music changes.

Cover looks neat, I will prob's pick this up, would be nice to have some Street Fighter in my Blu-ray collection (and for it not to be the Legend of Chun Li movie, or the Van Damme movie for that matter).
