Is it out of stock like sold out or does WM.ca normally do this on pre-orders? Do they ship internationally. I've never dealt with WM.ca before

I can confirm that US walmarts will be getting The Hobbit digibook, there will be 3 different lenticular cards about dvd sized that you can choose from when pre-ordering.

This may be the beat news I have heard in a while. almost as exciting as getting the The Dark Knight Rises Target digibook. Cant wait for this to come out.

Sure would be nice to get all the other LOTR films in a digibook version.

Now I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, there will be only one type of digibook, which will have 64 pages by the way. On 2/26 Walmart will put out 3 lenticular cards to choose from to preorder digibook, instead of the preorder being a slim case like they've used for past preorders that come with vudu version of movie first.

That's only 4 days from now. How come there's been no advertisement for this?
I don't quite know how to put this, but it seems like kind of a big deal.

Couple questions for you:

Do you have any actual specs or info on the digibook version? (How many discs, audio codec)

How do these pre-orders work, you pay the amount in full or a small charge and pay the rest when the hobbit is released?

The most surprising thing about this to me is that you can order stuff from walmart.ca. When did that happen?

Hopefully they will have lots in stores, digibooks aren't usually too limited.
