You should be able to use the code for Vudu or Flixster(which 99% of the time are linked anyway) and then validate it in the iTunes store. I'm able to do this for every Universal title with a digital copy and lately it's worked on HBO stuff as well. Fox has started to embrace the dual digital copy promo too.

Here's hoping more studios do this in the future. I'm looking at you, WB and Disney!!!

If you only redeem it through Vudu, it won't be UV compatible, so it won't show up in any linked UV accounts. You have to redeem it through Flixster to get the UV compatible version.

The best thing to do is to just redeem it through both, as well as through iTunes for those who use it.

You sure? Never or just in certain instances? I think I do go through Flixster first anyway, but I could've sworn most of titles show up in both accounts(as well as Cinemanow about 90% of the time).

Yeah HBO shows were never UV compatible through Vudu. This is my first time trying to get all 3 but not my first HBO digital copy. GoT Season 2 was sucessful doing it your way, through the individual sites. I did Flixster, the Vudu, then iTunes. I'm going to go back and see if I can still nab the iTunes versions of the other shows I have (GoT 1, BWE 1+2 and Strike Back S1 specifically) and see if I can still get the iTunes versions, or if I screwed it up with HBO (or Cinemax) Select. Thanks for your help!

yeah, i did not automatically get the show in Vudu, just the first ep (i did get the set in yesterday though, so that was cool)

Yep. It's different for titles from different studios, but like vanton619 said, I'm positive with HBO releases. That's why they let you redeem via Vudu and Flixster, because only the Flixster version is UV compatible.

If a title is UV compatible, it will show up in any other UV compatible service that you have linked to your account, regardless of which service you initially redeem it through (although there are exceptions to that as well). Your example of Universal digital copies is a prime example of this, because they're UV compatible when redeemed. But for some reason, the HBO titles that redeem through Vudu are not UV compatible.

I just redeemed my iTunes and VUDU code for Season 2. Hasn't showed up in my locker in my UV account just yet. I didn't go through the HBO link they provided. I just redeemed it through VUDU without any problems.

You'll need to redeem your code through Flixster as well for it to show up in your UV account. Vudu digital copies from HBO are not UV compatible for some strange reason, but they are when redeemed through Flixster.

Indeed it is. But for some reason, that's how all of the HBO digital copy codes have been.

Yeah it looks like I had to validate it for Flixster and Vudu. Had the Flixster code worked for both, I could've used the code again for Amazon Instant Video. Oh well.

I just unpacked my GoT2 and I have a Wallet with 6 Blue Rays. In that I have an Episode Guide, A small card, and a offer sheet for a chance to win a TV. I have a second cardboard slip marked DVD and Digital Copy. But I cannot find the UV/Itunes Code anywhere...

Mine was packed with the other inserts inside the blu-ray case. In the past, though, when I got the collector's edition of season 1 and BWE 1 and 2, the code was in the cardboard case for the DVDs. Check it over again, and if you don't see it, return it to where ever you got it and get a new one.

So far, the HBO combo packs are the only ones that I've run into that are like this. All of the other titles I've redeemed through Vudu (from codes that were included with Blu-rays) have been UV compatible. I guess HBO just likes to do things differently for some odd reason.

There have been several reports of missing digital copy sheets for this release. First, as vanton619 said, double check to make sure it's not hiding anywhere. Mine wasn't in with the DVDs where it should have been either, but rather it was in the pocket with all of the other papers with the Blu-rays. If you're certain it's not there, you can either try exchanging it for another copy as vanton619 suggested, or you can get in touch with HBO customer service and see if they can get you a code.

Someone in another thread I think mentioned using this e-mail:

to contact HBO about the missing code. I e-mailed them on Monday about a missing code and got a reply today. They simply asked for a picture/scan of the receipt or pictures of the front/back of the set to be sent to them. Once they get one of those I should be able to get a new code.

So if I redeem the UV/Flixster code, I can ONLY watch it on Flixster?!?

It doesn't show up in CinemaNow, it doesnt show up in my Vudu (I know that has a separate code, but that was already used)... whats the use of UV if it's tied to the one service after all?

I wanted to watch it on my PS3, so I bought the UV code thinking I could.

same problem with Season One - got the UV code. ONLY place I can view it is through Flixster, which I can't do on my PS3. Is there another UV service I can use?

So question for anyone. I had another code i decided to redeem towards amazon and i clicked and got the code tried to paste in the amazon redeem box and it wont take. I was going to try and get season 1 with a season 2 code but it wont let me add it says code not recognized try again
