Default What can I do with a vintage Kenwood KR-9600?

I can't afford a nice multi-channel setup so I plan to use what I have.
I currently have a Kenwood KR-9600, and a pair of vintage DCM Timewindow 1A's.
I hate to admit it but here's how I currently have things hooked up:

Ps3-> TV via HDMI
TV-> 3.5mm out-> RC male/3.5mm female-> RC into receiver
DCM's-> receiver via speaker wire

I also have a record player hooked into the receiver.

Is there a different setup I can use? Would I benefit from an amp? Is there anyway to get an HDMI into the TV somehow through the Kenwood? I don't know as much as I would like to about audio components.

I'm sure this is a weird setup, with unexpected vintage components, but does anyone have any suggestions other than "buy new stuff?"

Outside of getting a Digital audio to analog rca converter to plug your PS3 into, not really, though the converter might be a solution. As for an amp, those vintage Kenwood had a lot of power, I doubt an amp would help.

I guess the 3.5mm is really the best option. I suppose there isn't much to gain from using a DAC or anything else.
I'll get some cable covers and make it look nice.

I started out in the mid-seventies with a Pioneer amp that I hooked up to my TV and I loved it. I changed gear over the years that followed, but continued with a 2CH system as my HT for several decades afterwards. There ain't nothing wrong with a good 2CH amp or receiver and some good speakers.
