Really nice SB. My pre-ordered ones did not arrive in the mail yet. Grabbed 1 at the store last night. Less than 10 left at 8PM in a high-volume FS.

Besides the cut-spine, which I saw one of, I saw multiples with ripped cardboard inside the wrapping (weird?), and glue problems on 4 on them (globs on front and back).

After shipping at a price of $50 this will be my most expensive one n my collection so far...although that could change if I decide to pony up for Thor and Captain America.
I hope he wasnt a close buddy....ours were around 40-41.00 shipped

I saw all or the receipts. $30 for the blu and $19 to ship it from BC to Philly. I knew it was going to be more than I am used to due to shipping from Canada, but after he bought it I couldn't back out on him.

ouch!! shipping is a killer, i forgot about single items.

I usually get bulk, so it winds up being 2-3.00 a copy

Is it getting taken straight to your house by a personal courier?!?!?! What the hell kind of shipping did they use? Or, did he package it in a box big enough to stuff a dead body into? I've mailed a couple of single steelbook shipments to the USA for around $10 each.

Sounds like he got it shipped via Xpresspost, or shipped in a really heavy box....only reason why shipping would have costed so much.
Next time if you want tracking ask him to ship via Tracked Packet: http://www.canadapost.ca/tools/pg/prices/CPusa-e-04.pdf
or just print the expedited shipping label off paypal to get a discount.

Just got the online copies of Argo I ordered for other members, they all have a slash on the spine, WTH?! Now I have to go exchange them for copies in the store.

Of the 20 or so that I saw in store, I'd say 15 of them had similar slashes in the spine. It's just something that most people will have to put up with if they want this steelbook, unfortunately.

Yeah, I just got through doing the same thing. I finally have a copy that's in perfect condition. Customers really shouldn't have to go through this hassle.

Also, the second copy I received online came in a huge box (not the small one I received for the first copy). I guess the Brampton shipping centre ran out of the small boxes.

I agree. Back in the day I use to be really anal about stuff like this but now that I'm older I've mellowed a bit. As long as there's no dents it's all good

PS Looks like I may have the same sh!t happen when I get my Skyfall steel judging by all the comments

Well I know it is a FedEx tracking so I guess the box is bigger. I told him make sure it was safe during transit so I am guessing he went over the top.

I really have no clue, but the return address on the parcel indicated Brampton. Anyway, they must have run out of small boxes.

And someone is going nuts with a boxcutter.

Honestly how is it even remotely possible that so many many idiots work in the box opening department for these steelbook companies. I am completely amazed at how widespread this ridiculous issue is. Multiple releases across multiple timeframes across multiple countries. It is truly incredible. One or two blokes. Sure. I'd understand, but this is beyond excessive.

Just went to my nearest FS, they have 4 good copies left.
6 slashed spines + the 7 slashed spines I just exchange which they'll probably just put back on the shelf.
