Default steelbook spines

Does any one know why European steelbooks have the spines in the opposite orientation than US ones. My damn OCD makes me want to take it off and put it on the right way but really don't feel like hassling with it and risk ruining the spine.

Do you have a lot of German or French steelbooks> Normally France and Germany put them up side down.

It's mainly a French thing, they print spines and vertical titles the other way up on everything - books and CDs too.
