I believe I read that they would just use the original disks and they are region free.

I have pre ordered these with amazon for now but might cancel i already have the complete saga so not sure what to do,

whatever happens now though for ppl who dont have either set is they may well be able to pick up the complete saga for a great price as im sure ppl will start selling there complete saga sets off now while they can cash in on them.

I have the complete set already but I figured I would get these to had to my Star Wars collection, just for kick. I still have all my old VHS copies along with Laserdisc and the DVD sets. Will be nice to have these along with the rest. It's the only reason why I am ordering them

Not sure if it is alot of money, but it sure does feel like it. In US dollars with shipping included it comes out to $90 bucks for both steelbook.... hmmm gona have to think about this

sounds like they didn't sell enough copy's of the saga box set they decided to make steelbooks

i cant justify it, the steelbooks look great but having the complete saga as well id rather use that $90 towards something else like Bond 50 or Hitchcock collection

I think you're right. Plus if you have the complete saga you have the extra disks I believe that were included? (I don't own it so I'm just going on my old memory here). I love steelbooks, and don't own any other versions of this franchise (never have) so I took the plunge. But if i did Bond 50 would be something $90 would go nicely towards

I have the complete saga as well. But Im one of those who likes their Star Wars. Have the VHS, the dvd's etc. So I dont mind shelling out the $90 american to get it. Im more of a collect only what you would be willing to watch over and over again kind of steelbook collector. Dont get me wrong. I am in awe of alot of the collections I have seen. But I am a big time blind buyer. And if I like it ill see if its in a steelbook form.

I too put in a notify me for these didnt get it. Never done it before. So was wondering if there is some kind of delay from the moment the go on pre-order to the time that the emails go out. no big deal, just wondering if anyone knew.
