I'm an animated movie junkie, so I have been thinking of doing this for quite a while. I hope it's okay I do so.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a fully animated movie. So no movies like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, or the Smurfs and so on. Dinosaur, and if there are movies like it, will be exceptions, where many of the environments are real, but all characters or depictions of life are animated.
Yes to anything stop-motion. Yes to fully motion captured (movies like Beowulf, but not like Avatar).

(Movies no longer need to have been theatrically released. Sorry if this inconvenienced you.)

2. Must be full length movie. No shorts.

Point System:

1. 20 points
2. 19 points
3. 18 points
4. 17 points
5. 16 points
6. 15 points
7. 14 points
8. 13 points
9. 12 points
10. 11 points
11. 10 points
12. 9 points
13. 8 points
14. 7 points
15. 6 points
16. 5 points
17. 4 points
18. 3 points
19. 2 points
20. 1 point

If you have less than 20 in your list, each spot in your list will decrease by 1 point with each missing spot on your list. So if you have 19 movies in your list, your top spot will get 19 points, if you have 18 movies, the top spot will get 18 points, and so on.

Other Rules:

1. Do not make Multiple Lists. One per person. Please edit your same post if you want to make any changes.

2. No two movies in the same spot, nor any movie repeated.

3. Just for fun, so please do be respectful of others' lists.

Deadline: March 31st

Many of you already need to edit your lists. Only movies that have had theatrical releases in their home country. And I'm adding for film festivals not counting. I'd have my work cut out for me, but I will not count other films in your lists that don't meet this if not edited by the deadline.

I'm pretty sure all the ones in my list had theatrical runs, albeit some smaller ones for the Japanese titles. Feel free to correct me though, and I'll switch out the wrong ones for other titles.

Dang, I always get these animes mixed up, as to whether they're theatrical or straight-to-video or what. Mine should be fixed now (removed the Animatrix and NeoTokyo, checked on a few others), but if I'm still mistaken about a given title, let me know.

@IronWaffle: Looked up Wings of Honneiamise, couldn't find anything, but would assume it was released in theaters in Japan, but I'm not sure.

Sorry guys, I would worry not enough people would participate, and there is just a huge collection of animated niche titles, so as to the revised no film festivals.

I was surprised, but IMDb didn't show a Japanese release date. Also note I mis-spelled the title in the initial post (it's Honneamise). I know it received a limited non-festival release in the US (that's how I first saw it in Georgetown), but am erring on the side of being conservative.

Your list, your rules, no complaints.

Well I pretty much just assumed that if it didn't have a theatrical release in it's home country, then it wouldn't in the US, so I didn't add that fact. But since there seems to be, i'll just add that it can either have a US theatrical release or from it's country of origin. So you can add that one back to your list I guess.

Thanks, but life is short and Team America (my new 20) makes me chuckle. No one else has probably seen Honneamise -- which is a shame.

Good luck and happy tabulation.

There was around 6 that wasn't theatrically released but don't hold up your thread because of little 'ol me I just didn't see "Must have been theatrically released in the US or in the movie's country of origin. No Film Festivals."

So "has to be a theatrical release" would me no "How the Grinch Stole Christmas". It was an ABC special I believe in 1966. My favorite animated film of all time. Such a shame, unless that could be included...?

Afraid not. It is also considered a Short as well.
