Recent/Upcoming PlayStation Exclusive Content

First off, this thread is being made to spread awareness on extra content that is only available on PlayStation versions of the following games. I find it difficult to keep up with all the exclusive DLC, and sometimes forget the extra content even exists to download. People are often confused as to whether the DLC is free or costs money. Multiplatform owners are often unsure of which version of a game they should purchase. Hopefully this thread can help everyone keep track of exclusive DLC.


This thread is not to talk about how lame you think exclusive DLC is. Yeah...we get it...you personally think exclusive DLC is bad for gaming. Well too bad. It's happening, and it's here to stay.

Here's a list of recent and upcoming Exclusive DLC on PS3 games.


Far Cry 3 -- Exclusive "High Tides" DLC. It is 2 extra co-op Chapters and is Free to download. Also includes 4 new character skins.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance -- Exclusive VR Missions. 30 extra VR missions. Free to Download on PSN.

Portal 2 -- "In Motion" DLC exclusive to PS3. It is an entirely New Campaign, and uses the PS Move controller. $9.99 on PSN.

BioShock Infinite -- Will include the original BioShock game on the blu-ray disc. Will also have exclusive motion controls on PS3, using the PS Move.

Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag -- 60 Minutes of Exclusive missions on PS3/PS4. Will also have exclusive controls on PS4 using the touchpad on the new Dual Shock 4.

Destiny -- Exclusive DLC on PS3/PS4. Currently unknown exactly what it will be.

If you're only talking about DLC, this topic probably needs a title change to reflect that.

If we're talking about any exclusive content at all, including exclusive games, the recent release for Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch trumps all of those DLCs combined.

IMO, if you're talking DLC only, I don't really classic Bioshock into that category. But if you're including old games as DLC, Medal of Honor and one of the Call of Duty games had them. They aren't really DLC though.

Portal 2 is kinda weird too, since you have to buy it separately. I mean yeah it is PS3 exclusive but it's behind a paywall in addition to the main game purchase.

Because I've never played any of the past 2 games and I sort of want to get into the series.I already have downloaded Bioshock 2 for free off PS+ a couple months ago but never got around to playing it yet.

I just might get Bioshock Infinite.

That's if I ever find time to finish my backlog of games which right now includes: Uncharted 3, Hitman Absolution, Metal Gear Rising: Revengence and next week I'm picking up the collectors edition of God Of War Ascension.

Working a IT systems administrator job and working a lot of OT where I work 10 or 12 hour days takes a toll and I have little time and energy after work to play video games.

Since this forum is visited by a lot of people outside the US.

It should be noted that the Bioshock Infinite with original Bioshock game included on the blu-ray disc is only available to people in the US.
