How old is your bulb? It sounds very similar to what mine did when the bulb was at the end of its life. You can find replacement bulbs online. **Just buyer beware when ordering "knock-offs". Some have reported success using them and some have reported very short lifespan using them. **

I ordered mine from newegg.com: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...4&ParentOnly=1

Don't feel obligated to order yours from there, I was just showing you as an example. You can google the Model Number for the bulb to see if you can find it any cheaper.

Good Luck!

The bulb has died. I've had this experience multiple times.

If you need a bulb immediately, they carry them at most local Sony stores. Also some theater shops have them. You will pay more most of the time though.

I have had new bulbs die within a month. In fact, it just happened with a DLP I own last month.
