You can order weeds seasons 1-6 from JB hifi in Australia for relatively cheap. I am not sure what their international shipping charges are though.

http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/dvd/d...blu-ray/431099

EDIT: If you get in quick you can buy seasons 1-6 under the buy 2 get one free offer. I just chucked all of them in the cart and the total before shipping was $80AU. Which works out around £54.

If you like commentaries, etc then I'd go for the US release, as that apparently has a commentary on every episode (which the German release does NOT have).

Or wait for the UK release (assuming that it does have the commentaries).

No date for Blu Ray release in UK , works out at €73 for season's 1 - 4

There's an absolute bargain on Amazon.de at the moment...all 4 BB seasons only e14.99 each!! I just ordered all 4 and with postage to UK only came to £52.85 (64 euros) - result! Be warned though - seasons 1 & 4 are out of stock atm but will be sent in 1-3 weeks.

I'm currently about halfway through season 5 which is great. Once finished I Plan to watch all seasons again from the start before the final season, which I presume will be next year. (btw season 5 is only 8 episodes long)

That's a great deal but just a heads for everyone, the German releases are missing some extra features that the US set has. I believe the German season 4 has no audio commentaries, whereas the US one has one for every single episode. As someone who owns the US set i can honestly say the Breaking Bad commentaries are amongst the best i've ever heard and they're really funny.

Of course if you're not fussed about extra features then all this is moot. Awesome show

I am expecting a blu ray box set when Breaking Bad has finished in 2013. If not i guess i will just have to import them.

Well it's a shame the commentaries are not on the german releases, but it's not a deal-breaker for me. Also the US releases are region-locked aren't they? That is a deal-breaker! Doesn't really matter now anyway as the german ones will soon be winging their way to me

Cancel s1 and get the Swedish (?) release here for £6.
If it's the same as my Norwegian release, menus are all in English on the 2 discs.

.

EDIT: Sorry nevermind, I could have sworn you said Weeds lol
And I'm in the Breaking Bad thread... what a dumb*** I must be tired

I had season 3 ordered for £22.99. Cancelled that and got Season 3 & 4 for £27.50 from amazon.de, bargain!

Well that's one hell of a "break"! Why don't they just call it another season and be done with it

Isn't the break more about this being the final season and giving the writers time to give the series a good send-off?

Probably a bit of both mate, add in the desire to string it out longer as well

Virtually every show I watch seems to do this nowadays, Battlestar Galactica did it for it's final season, Walking Dead did last year, now Breaking Bad, even Doctor Who back in the UK has started it!

According to Amazon they're region free too, how kind of Sony. Not like we had to wait ages or anything cause the US releases are locked

I have to say, having bought season 1-4 on amazon.de, you might consider buying from amazon.de anyway. The reason why is that the german release have english subtitles. Yes, the english one got that too... but for hearing impaired only it seems. Seeing as it may be episodes with a lot of spanish/mexican language, one might want to use subtitles. I.e. you get subtitles without "[dripping]", "[motor sound is heared]", "[humming]" e.t.c. The english subtitle is for the entire episode which includes english language as well as the spanish part, but again... you get rid of the audio-to-text descriptions

Things to be ware of concerning season 5.
The Blu-ray is advertised as "The complete season 5", yet the description states 8 episodes... That is the reason for why the customer review is nuked with 2x2 stars and 12x1 star.

To be honest... I feel the UK release is lacking in the subtitle department. I mean how hard is it to copy-past the subtitles from the german release to the UK one?
