Hobbit Wal-Mart Pre-Order Vudu Question. - Blu-ray Forum

Hoping this is the right place to ask this.

I entered the code on my Vudu account and can see my precious copy of The Hobbit all ready to watch today.

It does not, however, show up on my linked Vudu accounts. I get why it doesn't show up on Flixster but I thought that it would at least show up on my linked Vudu account that my family uses.

My question is, will it show up next week when the movie is officially released or will it only ever remain in my locker on the lead account the code was redeemed on? I'm hoping someone with experience with Wal-Mart Pre-orders will be able to answer this. Thanks!

It'll show up next week. Same thing happened with my Twilight preorder. Twilight didn't show up on my UV, my linked Vudu account or on flixster BUT on March 2nd when BDP2 came out they all appeared on my various accounts.

Awesome. Thanks for answering. Even if it doesn't show up on my linked account until next week, it's still a couple weeks earlier than my family in England access it anyhow. Release date there is April 8th.

Showed up in all my linked VUDU accounts today as well as my UV locker. Also showing up in Flixster.

For what ever reason if you buy the Pre order at Walmart where they ship you the disks only the Vudu account redeemed the code will have access to until the day of the Blu-ray release.

Yeah, it was the one with the 'physical' pre-order bought from in store.

That's not always the case. I pre-ordered Skyfall in the same fashion, and the day the early streaming copy was available on Vudu, it was also in my UV locker and available on all of my linked accounts/sites.

Okay, so how does this work? Can I pre-order the Blu-ray on walmart.com and then watch it instantly on VuDu/UltraViolet? Will I get a code in an email? From the walmart.com site and from the link you fine gentlemen have provided to VuDu they all say the code you need to enter will be in the Blu-ray case. Any help would appreciated. Thanks!

Vudu Blu-ray pre-orders like this one are only available in Wal-Mart stores at this point. You can't get them from their website. You have to go into a Wal-Mart to buy it.

The pre-order code that's being discussed in this thread is definitely working. But if you're referring to the code that comes with the actual Blu-ray, it may not be active until tomorrow when it's officially released.
