As a shortcut, what I do was click any movie at the top(Best Blu-ray Deals), when that movie popped-out, look for all this options like Edit Movie, Upload Cover, Add New Movie, click on Add New Movie to submit new title on database, hope that helped/answered your question.

Add movie link now lists this message.

To add a new DVD movie, search for/go to the theatrical/master movie entry of the movie you wish to add and click Create DVD.

Where is the theatrical/master list? In the past, 50% of the #s in the main movie URL worked for date entry.

Any ideas?

You can also go there by clicking the Theatrical dark blue link word on the Search on the top on the front page and searching for a movie. Or if you don't have a movie to search and just wanna go to that magical theatrical land, you could use Batman for example on the search, then click on one of the movies and then can click on theatrical add/clone linkies on that theatrical movie's entry


Now, you say you can't add DVDs unless you go to theatrical first?
So the Add DVD movie link on a DVD entry doesn't work?

How do you add a Blu ray version for a movie that is not in the theatrical database but has a DVD? I looked at the edit DVD options but none seemed to fit.

Also, how do you add a theatrical or DVD pending cover to an unreleased Blu ray entry that you or someone else has created?

You'll need to submit the theatrical listing first and once that is approved you'll be able to submit the Blu-ray listing.

Previously, the theatrical listing wasn't a site requirement so you used to be able to create listings without a theatrical listing. However, the site has since mandated a theatrical listing before you can create a media listing.

It may be fixed but I can't seem to figure out how to create a blu ray from the DVD?

Submit as any other cover. when approved click on tmporary cover on edit entry. But if it's just a place holder and not a real release probably should be left blank as it doesn't exist

I can see I am not being clear. When you said it was fixed I thought you meant that you could create a BRD entry from a DVD one that did not have a theatrical entry. I am still quite new to creating anything here so to date I have only managed to add a few BRDs from theatrical entries. I am still not clear on how to create a theatrical entry.

On the cover question, I think it would be nice to have some visual placeholder for those BRDs that have no release date. I have noticed that a number of these have been done and wanted to do the same for some of my wishlist titles yet to be released. So now I have to ask, how do you create any cover?

That's what i was referring to that was fixed, creating disc entries w/o needing a theatrical first.





To create a theatrical, from any other theatrical entry there's a link to add a spanking new one. There's also a direct link in the first post on the ht db sticky posts section above ^^ in this feedback forum.

Pics are added through the edit/add image link in the entries by sucking the image from your HD (unchek the keep image box) and submitting

Everyone's Hero on Bluray.com says no release date but it released on 3/5/13 as WalMart Exclusive. I tried to make a new thread but it won't let me.

I tried to enter one and got a rejection message saying "A movie with that country and title already exists in the database, please use that entry."

But I was trying enter the DVD edition I have of The Outlaw Josey Wales, which is a 1999 snapcase. The earliest one in the database says 2001 and says
"Clint Eastwood Collection" at the top (which mine doesn't).

And I used the "Add new DVD" link from the master movie listing of it. Hmm. Any ideas?
