Its great movie, tarantino did it again with the dialogue and great performance from Christopher Waltz

Disappointing to find out that in a period of two days from when I asked about this blu-ray in this thread to when I went back to the Amazon UK site, it was sold out.

Just checked the Amazon website and it showed 1 was available, and before I could finish the checkout, it was gone.

I don't know anything about Zavvi, but I thought I had read some posts somewhere in these forums that they weren't that good.

Is it standard for blu-rays to be released later in other countries? It's available April 19 in the US but it apparently is available May 20 in the UK.

You should activate the 1-Click feature - this will save you some time and take you straight to checkout.
In fact i just checked it was there 5mins ago and now it's gone again... so just keep trying you'll get it.

Zavvi has said it will improve the packaging, so you can keep an eye on this forum to see how they fare in future.

Yes, it's a common practice for film studios to release movies on DVD/Blu-ray on different dates in different countries.

I found it cheaper to pre order from a local supermarket so cancelled my Amazon pre order earlier on today. Some lucky person snatched it within about 20 seconds of my cancellation.

Ya... I highly doubt that person managed to get a steelbook from a supermarket. More likely they cancelled their steelbook for a much cheaper amaray release of the exact same content.
