Default It's St Patricks Day..... Where is Leprechaun???

"Try as they will, and try as they might, who steals me gold won't live through the night."

I know this doesn't belong here, but just for today... Why not

Why don't we have any Leprechaun films on Blu? There's reasons to own every one:

Leprechaun: a craptastic early nineties slasher with a young Jennifer Aniston and a rhyming Warwick Davis that doesn't manage to be campy enough to be any good
Leprechaun 2: probably the only truly decent flick in the franchise. Decent premise and characters
Leprechaun 3: perfectly campy and funny and enjoyable, my favorite title in the franchise.
Leprechaun 4 in space: one of the worst movies ever made, and brilliantly so. Actually number 2 in my personal favorite best worst horror movies. A must see for fans of the hilariously awful
Leprechaun in the hood: surprisingly enjoyable take on the franchise that manages to be kinda original and fun in a campy way
Leprechaun back to tha hood: the joke wears thin and the stereotypes grow unamusing like the previous entry. At least it gave ninja a whole new use in my vocabulary

Geez its even the originals 20th anniversary. Maybe we can have these next st Patrick's day

When they air in HD on the SyFy channel, they are just fullscreen upconverts. So I doubt there is an HD transfer available. And LionsGate probably isn't too interested, as a lot of their older catalog titles are just haphazard fullscreen versions. Chopping Mall, Pumpkinhead II, Evolver, BloodMoon, etc.

Their DVD of Welcome To Spring Break is fullscreen when there's a nice looking widescreen DVD available in other regions. The Resurrected is fullscreen when there's a nice widescreen HD version on NetFlix. Their Night Of The Demons 2 DVD was fullscreen, but now that Olive re-released it, it is finally available in widescreen.

I think the cheap DVD 4-pack that can currently be found for around $5 is your best bet, unless the rumored WWE remake re-ignites their interest.

I asked that on here last year and someone posted a link from someone involved who mentioned it will be coming but no dates were given so although not great news it is a glimmer of hope, you could always use a wish.

Darby should've been released on Blu this year to coincide with the Bond 50 anniversary. A missed marketing opporunity for Disney.

I would buy the first one without a doubt. Maybe the second and third one, but 4+ would never be welcomed in my house unless it was a package deal, and then it would have to be cheap!! The first one was the only one I really enjoyed, but have the first 3 on DVD.
