Default The Anderson Tapes - Sean Connery & Sidney Lumet - May 7

Physical Evidence / The Anderson Tapes Blu-ray

Finally, one of the 5 Sean Connery / Sidney Lumet collaborations on BD!

These 5 are:

The Hill - 1965
The Anderson Tapes - 1971
The Offence - 1972
Murder on The Orient Express - 1974 (supporting role)
Family Business - 1989

Lol! I only asked Mill Creek about The Anderson Tapes a couple of weeks ago and they said there were no plans to release it.

very nice! but $29.98 must be a pricing error. Unless Mill Creek are changing their style

Yeah, that is a pricing error for sure. Esp for their awful cover art system. lol Still as long as the transfers are decent I can't complain. I preferred the Martini Movies Anderson Tapes cover. Great little fun film IMO.

Good news I suppose. Mill Creek is better than nothing. And really, is Burt Reynolds more of a draw than Sean Connery?

Just what I was thinking, Nothing against Burt though....

Loving how they randomly match these Movies together.

Yeah that has to be a pricing error since all of these single disc double feature Mill Creek releases have a SRP of 9.98 and not 29.98

Would have been great for The Offence to have been the other feature. I'll get it because it's a fun heist film with a young Christopher Walken.

My dad took me to see it in the theaters, I was 8. Per Wikipedia,

Quote:
Revolving around a bold robbery, the film was prescient in focusing on the pervasiveness of electronic surveillance, from security cameras in public places to more discreet and underhanded methods, the first film to do so.

I don't know about that, I just know I fell in love with Dyan Cannon. Like I did with Ali MacGraw the next year when he took me to see The Getaway.

Just received this and it's 'Reg A locked' for those wondering. Had a quick look at The Anderson Tapes and it looks pretty good, Plenty of grain no manipulation of any kind.

Love The Anderson Tapes - will order this as my region B Panasonic was able to play Replacement Kilers/ Truth or Consequences by allowing the region coding screen to time out , takes about 10 seconds , and then press
"1" "enter" on the remote - same trick works for Echo Bridge locked region A discs i have.
Hope it works again with this one.

This doesn't work, I tried it. Didn't work for the When A Stranger Calls disc either.

You'll need a proper reg A player I'm afraid.

Thanks for that info Dickie .Thats really annoying . The disc is so cheap as well- but you have saved me a couple of £. i assume using the top menu button or a number followed by the top menu button also do not work either ???

Do you know if the coding screen can be bypassed on the In the Cut/Trapped blu ray?

Talked a mate of mine with a region free player into buying this blu ray - i then tested it on my Region B Panasonic BD30 and it works. The region coding screen does not time out as it does on The Replacement Killlers but can be bypassed by pressing function, return, top menu. This combination also works for every locked Fox/MGM disc i have tried which means i can watch the unrated cut of the region A locked AVP2.
I will now purchase Trapped/Physical Evidence as i assume it will play like The Anderson Tapes does.
