Interesting. Haven't seen this in YEARS!

I never thought this would come to Blu-ray.

Well considering there's like 2 Diamond Editions a year (one at the start, one at the end), it actually makes sense that they would release some less popular films in between as they always do.

More Disney on Blu-ray?... Sold! Color me surprised that Disney isn't making this a 2-Movie Collection with "The Emperor's New Groove 2: Kronk's New Groove". Maybe it will be and the product page will be updated because I'd find it odd that "Kronk's New Groove" would justify its own Blu-ray release.

Yeah I'm not believing this until there's something more official. Though I will absolutely lose it if/when it's announced, been waiting some time for it.

I'm fairly optimistic that date is real. Can't wait for this film on Blu, although I'm 100% sure it will come with the wretched cheapquel.

I bet the date is real. We got the dates for the August wave last year from placeholder pages like this.

Think we'll get a full wave this time? We know "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" is due around then, so maybe we'll get a bunch of titles releasing on Blu-Ray around then?

Sure. We could easily get The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Atlantis 2-Movie Collection, Lilo & Stitch 2-Movie Collection, The Emperor's New Groove 2-Movie Collection, and Return to Never Land all on the same day.

and "The Muppet Movie". That's the release everyone seems to forget about.

If they are doing a standalone release, then they should put that documentary from Trudie Styler (Sting's wife), The Sweatbox on there.

Also, pigs should fly.

+1

I would LOVE to own "The Sweatbox", but I don't think Disney will ever release that. It just doesn't show a pretty side of them.

That would be amazing since Pooh, Lilo, and Groove are amongst my favorite Disney films. Those plus the recent release of Hunchback and the upcoming release of The Little Mermaid would round out my top 10 Disney film list save for Aladdin. I'm not holding my breath on getting The Sweatbox on Groove's release, but hopefully they port over the Collector's Edition supplements. If not, I'll be tossing out the DVD copy and putting that set's bonus features disc in its place.

Loved this movie. Played the VHS so much when I was younger. Used to watch this after school quite a bit while doing homework.
