Well, I went with Superman initially. But if Green Lantern can actually create Kryptonite from his ring, it's a lot closer.

It doesn't matter if he's stronger then his constructs. While that may be true in terms of his general constructs all Hal needs to do is create kryptonite and Superman is done. Although I wouldn't expect you to see it that way given your username. The cover was posted in here already though to break your claims.

there is so many more than that. Just check out this link. It list every iteration of Kryptonite. I counted 23 types, all with varying effects.

When I see these threads I picture Leonard and Sheldon having an argument

All Superman needs to do is take off his ring and he can do that pretty fast.

On the other hand how is Hal supposed to create Kryptonite or anything that is of pure radiation ? did he ever do that ? can you show me scans ? if that's the case then I see no problem given Hal a decicive advantige over him. But I need proof. If he can't I see no way how Lanterns able to match him in any way but simply delay his own defeat.

Superman wins. But if they battle on Kandor and there is no clothes washers or dry cleaners on Kandor how would Superman get his sweat stains out of his costume, not to mention blood if he has to readjust to the Kriptonian atmosphere ala Man of Steel.
