Just been into Asda in Bootle and saw all of these, picked up Jackass 3.

Weirdly though, I went to Asda in Aintree yesterday (about 5 minutes away from the Bootle shop) and they had a completely different selection. The only ones I can remember are Stargate (which I bought), Kill Bill Vol 1, Kill Bill Vol 2 and The Wrestler. There were around 20 titles, and I don't think a single one was from the list in the first post. So it seems like it's different from shop to shop.

There are very few films out there that i personally would buy on release day for the simple fact of the cost, i already own most of DVD format so although i want to re watch in 1080 im also not willing to pay £15 for it, im happy to upgrade my DVD to Blu Ray at these sort of prices however old the film is

My parents grabbed G.I. Joe for me earlier. I'm not sure what else they had in our ASDA Living in Trostre.

They've had the £5 deal on for a while now. Mainly on thier website with a limited selection in store. They have started putting a bigger selection in store now. I picked up the untouchables today for £5 so pretty happy with that :-)

From the pictures I've seen on the deal sites all the releases are slip-less, although Katy Perry is a Triple Play and Saving Private Ryan is a 2-Disc set.

I think I'll try get hold of the Katy Perry release although I'm not sure my local Asda would have it. They go through phases of having a large section for blu rays then they change it around and add more budget DVDs and CDs. Do you think I should phone?

Read this thread and headed to my local asda in excitement. Some cash on payday ready to spend on Blu's. Lo and behold only blu ray for a fiver was battleship. Bought it as I had a gift card from a trade in. Rang my local asda living which is huge and they said they aren't stocking the deal. How disappointing.

I think we're in the same boat, I'm hoping our other ASDA has the offer, they did when it was last on.
