Default Where can I get a TV & PS3 for cheap?

I am staying in the USA New York for 4 months and have an apartment and everything, only the missing is a PS3 and a TV

Where can I get these 2 things for cheap? I don't want them brand new or a very big tv, just something for the 4 months, I will sell/trade it before I leave.

I am not familiar with the USA or New York, so if anyone has tips...

Given your criteria I would check Craig's List (craigslist.com) and local pawn shops.

Thanks. Are there Pawn Shops near Park Slope or Bay Ridge? I am staying in that area. I hope it's a safe area, it looks very nice and safe though, but you never know

Pawn Shops are probably your best bet. You could probably find both for less than $500.

Sounds good .

I don't want to spend a lot, it's not my real home, just temporarily to have something to do while I am here :d.

one pawn shop I go to in canada offers a 30 day fee you can pay to warranty the goods. Its hit or miss as to weather it's worth it.

I bought a sony 1080p lcd a couple years ago online from a local seller and haven't had any issue's with it at all. I read in the paper some guy's here went to buy a car from the same website I use and got tied up and robbed by the sellers, another guy a few weeks ago was selling a laptop and got pepper sprayed for it. I personally have never had a problem but that could be attributed to me looking like a big mean individual.

I have no idea where any are specifically, as I don't live in New York, nor have I ever been there. However, pawn shops are everywhere you go. Check the phone book or Yellow Pages, or yellowpages.com for specific locations. I'm sure there are several within easy driving distance.

Ok my budget for both tv and ps3 is 500 dollars and I want to resell them once I leave the USA. I don't need anything fancy, I am here for 3-4 months only.

I have seen some HD tv's 32 to 40 inch and 1080p on eBay, new for only 185 to 300 USD. I am not familiar with the brands, I only use Sony or Samsung products back home. So could someone look at these TV's and tell me if they are any good (sufficient enough):?

Sceptre 32" Class LCD 1080p 60Hz HDTV, X325BV-FHD - Brand New + Free Shipping ---- 190 USD

MEGA MHAV3213 32" 1080p Full HD LCD HDTV ---- 260 USD

Sansui SLED3228 32" 1080p HD LED LCD Television ---- 260 USD

SuperSonic 32" Widescreen LED HDTV 1080p 12ms Television ---- 270 USD

Sceptre 32" Class (31.5" Measured) 3-D Ready 1080p 60Hz 3D LED HDTV E320BV- ---- 300 USD

Vizio 39" E390-A1 Flat Panel LED HD TV 1080p HDMI Black 200,000:1 Contrast Ratio ---- 300 USD

Which one should I buy?

If I knew of a way to get a PS3 "cheap," I would've had one long time ago.

None of those, buy a samsung, sony, panasonic IMHO. Go to Sams Club or Costco for a good deal (they let you come in for a day pass, I think you pay an extra 10% in Sams) or maybe try Walmart. You could also try a store that does rent-to-buy or something like that?
