Wink I just bought ______ steelbook and now i feel soo guilty

I haven't gotten to that point yet as my collection is rather modest. Though I must say collecting steelbooks can be quite addictive. What say you?

What title made you consider slowing down? And what number in your collection was it (I.e. my 20th... my 200th lol)

I never got into the fever as much as others, I had a tight criteria and control over my interest for steelbooks. I never bought hauls and thought "I'm losing it!" I actually aimed to make Looper (Futureshop) my last steelbook and start slowing down for the new year. I did pick up Argo and of course I will get Django Unchained, but everything else is off my radar. I have 32 blu-ray steelbooks so far and I am very happy with the titles.

I've gotten to stage where I realise I have too many so need to sell some and make fewer preorders. Although I can never miss a bargain. Just last night I got Babylon ad & lord if rings best but tin - both very minor damage - just EUR 12.30 from France. 7.30 of that was postage cost. And just last week I got Bambi (tiny ding on bottom corner) & mint sealed Top gun for just £35 delievered.

Whilst I've still only sold 1 of mine lol so collection is still growing. I might just end up doing a bulk lot with a rare of two to get some money back.

It doesn't make sense to buy steelbooks. But if I had to ask the question, then I would never have bought any, and now I have too many and cannot stop.

If I'm going to buy the movie anyways and I think it deserves a nice steelbook case, I spring for the case. There is no way I'll buy something I have no interest in watching just for the case. So, in that regards, I'll stop buying Blu-rays before I'll stop buying steelbooks.

For me it was The Green Hornet, steelbook is very beautiful and since it was kind of superhero movie I thought I might like it. Turned out the movie was complete carbage.

Now on I only buy steelbooks when I know I like the movie, or if the steelbook is very rare.

Snap. I only buy Steelbooks if I know I'll like the movie. There's no point in buying it simply because of the packaging.

Bizarrely, I also bought the Green Hornet steelbook only because of the case, and I stopped watching the movie after about 25 minutes because it's so bad.

I've got about 30 steelbooks now - most recent one is Roger Rabbit, and the ones I have on pre-order are the two Star Wars ones, 3 Indian Jones movies, Hobbit, Seven Pyschopaths and Django Unchained. Oh, and I just bought Godfather Trilogy, Zombieland and Shutter Island...Yeah, I do feel guilty as I can't afford them, but I need them :-)

I've had to cancel most of my preorders

All three Indiana Jones, Star Trek Zavvi, Great Escape, X Men, Silence Of The Lambs, Man With The Iron Fists (blind buy)... I'll cancel Life Of CGI (another blind buy) ASAP. All of these will soon be stupid money on Ebay no doubt

I'm not cancelling Django though. Hell no.

Just bought Captain America and I plan on buying Thor next week.

Those along with the 2 Star Wars steels and Firefly really highlight my addiction.

great topic.

I don't think the quantity of steelbooks is bad.. it's the quantity of the same one.

I recently ordered the Hobbit from Taiwan, then from Media Markt, and was also considering the singapore title and french gollum version.

Also got Life of pi from the uk and Taiwan.. I think one is enough.

I also ended up with multiple copies of Zero Dark Thirty, although I was helping some overseas folks get one at cost.

Well I just bought the HMV Dark Knight Rises steel and the Best Buy Dark Knight steel. Which now means I have to buy the Best Buy Batman Begins steel. I may have a problem.

Anyone know where I can get Resident Evil 1-3 steels at a cheap price?

I just got 4 steelbooks off eBay with another 3 I'm watching currently. :-/

Guilty? Heck yes. I'm notorious for spending $$$ but now this site has made me want more of these after buying The Dark Knight trilogy individual releases last year from Best Buy...

I have definitely caught the fever. I went from owning one steelbook that was forced on me because it was the only version Amazon had (Scarface), to buying a couple of Best Buy Exclusives (ZDT & Les Mis) to paying a premium to buy imports on Ebay (WFRR), to now buying multiple copies of steelbooks (Jaws, Battleship). And just pre-ordered two copies of Dredd from Japan. My name is ____ and I have a problem.
