This player looks perfect but apparently isn't wireless. I was wondering, for those of you who own this, can this player be manually updated via a USB drive? Or would I have to plug in an Ethernet cable? Thanks for any help!

You can use a USB drive, there's one right in the front of the player.

Hi, I'm from Argentina, I would buy this bluray player (Orei BDP-M2), my question is if when I connect an external disk, the HDD can be formatted as NTFS
The USB input is compatible with NTFS format? many Thanks Wolko |

Anyone have trouble powering off?
After watching a disc, I took it out, closed the tray and hit "power". On the front display it says OFF and the eject light and play light are illuminated. Is not responding to any functions unless I unplug the unit and then plug it back in. Is this normal for this unit? |

Has anyone succeeded in using a WiFi USB dongle with the M2?
My player on powering up detects the dongle (which has RA MT7601 chip and is inserted in the back USB port) and briefly displays the animated "WiFi dongle inserted" icon. However there does not seem to be any place in the menu to setup the WiFi network -- there is no "interface" section to select Ethernet/WiFi as page 21 of the user-manual says. Hey guys I just purchased the same player with the 1608 revision and the code is no longer 8520. It has changed to 0714. I just tried it and it works so it should fix your problem if you still have the players. Hope this helps.

I turned the player on with no disc inside and then pressed the setup button on the remote. Then enter '0714' and it takes you to the Area/Region Code page. The DVD part will already be set to '0' for region free. Down arrow on the remote to drop to the Blu Ray Region. Enter the number 1 for Region A, the number 2 for Region B, or the number 3 for Region C. Let me know if this works or not...that's how I have been changing it since learning the new code from Bombay Electronics.
