I'd go with BB, but you shold be OK with those online sites. I would rather have the eass of driving 10mins to the store if need be. Get the 40gig 400$ & upgrade it with a 120gig HDD for less than 80$

Judging from the earlier thread by OP, I'd say all he really wants is the chrome.

I would go with the 40g. Reason being is because if you go with the 80 gig you're paying 100.00 more for 40g more. You can hook any external hard drive to a PS3 if you need more space. The one thing I'm not sure of is I think the 40g does not play the old PS games whereas the 80g does. Does anyone else on here know for sure?
I just checked the link for the 80g one and it does play all the old Playstation games. I'm pretty sure the 40g doesn't. I didn't need that feature when I bought mine though. Last edited by obiwopkenobi62; 03-22-2008 at 10:43 PM. Reason: update. |

The 40 plays PS1 games if that's what you're referring to.

Extended warranties are a scam in the long-term. The only way I can suggest getting one is if it's 10% or less than the purchase price of the item AND you cannot afford a critical piece of equipment dying. Honestly, my anecdoal opinion is that if a system is going to randomly die it's going to die in the first year and be under manufacturer warranty.
As an added layer of protection, I highly suggest buying the system on your credit card. A lot of CCs offer overlapping and additional warranty/replacement protection. |
