Hey guys, I am thinking about purchasing Amazon.com's National Treasure 1 & 2 [Blu-ray] bundle for $39.99, but I just wanted to get an opinion from those of you who have seen National Treasure 2? I saw part 1, but kind of thought of it as being mediocre. However, I have heard mixed reviews on part 2. Would you recommend this bundle, part 2, etc?

IMO they were both on par with each other. If you liked one you'd like the other.

agree with the above. NT2 is very much more of the same... which works great for me, since i loved the first movie. however, if you thought the first one was mediocre, chances are you'll find the second one the same.

I think the first one was a lot better than the second. The only reason i would buy the second is cause i'm an extra in it

Personally I thought the 2nd one wasn't as good as the first, myself, I am passing on the deal. But they are certainly good popcorn flicks, definitely nothing deep in the plot or acting departments.

I snatched it up too because the price is good and so is the first movie I haven't seen the second one yet but the trailers look good.

The "deal" isn't that exciting to me. It's $20 per movie, one of which is old. I am Legend, which is new, was $18.95.

If you discount the old movie a nickel, it's $25 for NT2. Meh.

Given the franchise and who makes them, I'm willing to bet we'll see similar (or better) specials come release time.

I'll gamble and wait. At most it will cost me a couple of dollars.

As to the OP, if you don't really care for NT1, just pass.

The first one is definitely better than the second, but the second was still very entertaining. You won't be disappointed in buying both. As for me, I will only be buying the first.

Like everyone said NT2 is very much like the first movie though i think the characters were not quite as well played. The comic relief was a little over the top at points in the second. There are also some extremely far-fetched scenes that i find it hard to accept but the same could be said of the first one. Both are fun though and worth seeing, wouldn't be top on my list but i'd say worth picking up.

I thought the first NT had a better, more solid story, but I still really liked NT2. If you liked NT1 you'll like NT2.

By the way... is it just me, or is NT one of those movies that you can't turn off if you come across it on TV? Last summer it was on TV like every weekend, and any time I come across it, I just can't turn it off... Few movies have that power over me, but yeah... one weekend I think I watched it 3 times! lol.

Just curious because I pre-ordered these items when they were 19.95 a piece so I have the same deal just wondering if you think that this "1&2 Bundle Pack" will be in a different package???

I personally would assume that these items will come the same: 2 seperate Blu ray cases/movies but just wanted to see if anyone else is in a similar predicament.

Wow just seeing the previews you can tell this movie is going to rival No Country for Old Men and I Robot for Bluray Picture Quality. I think like I Robot and Country for Old Men...National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets will score perfect in PQ. The Detail in the previews are just phenomenal...i was very impressed. When it comes on to the Bluray format i am a sucker for PQ...i would sacrifice Audio for Perfection in PQ. I think am going to definitely pre-order this one and i stress i cannot wait for the Month of May.

The 2nd one in my opinion was just as good as first. Loved both movies.
