The man that turned the Flash into a household name has passed away. Carmine Infantino's art, particularly on his gorgeous Flash covers that helped define the character for generations, was the first thing that got me into reading comics. His contributions to DC go well beyond the Flash, but his stylized art is the reason the character's design has become iconic. The industry has lost a true giant...
