United Kingdom North By Northwest/American Werewolf London steelbooks

I live in the US. I was thinking about getting both NBNW and AWIL steelbooks from AmazonUK. How are the transfers and extras compared to the standard US releases? Thank you.

Thanks for input! Why aren't WEREWOLF IN LONDON and CASINO steelbooks region-free? Universal right? Oh yeah, what about this new SILENCE OF THE LAMBS steelbook? How's the transfer and extras on this set compared to US?

Yes, these are all the same.

If a catalogue title is released by the same studio across two different countries then you're almost definitely going to get the same disc, especially if its Warner Brothers or Universal. I know there have been a few exceptions with Disney and Paramount, but generally speaking it's common sense for the studio - Why spend the extra money on different disc masters?

What's in the UK Steelbook will also be what's in the standard UK release... So just search on this website for the film, click on the UK version... all of the films you've asked about are confirmed region free in the Region Coding section:

Be careful - there are exceptions. The UK Casablanca steelbook does not have the latest transfer that you get in the US, according to a thread I found on here somewhere. Best to check each title before you commit if that is important to you

You are 100% correct. The 70th Anniversary Edition remaster of Casablanca is NOT the disc in any version (amaray, steelbook etc...) being sold in the UK.
And I'm sure there are other WBros.,Universal etc discs released in the UK with inferior video and/or audio compared to the US.
