http://vodzilla.co/reviews/bluray/bl...about-nothing/
http://www.filmoria.co.uk/2013/10/mu...ng-dvd-review/ These both seem to suggest only the Joss commentary and trailer, but the second link does refer more specifically to the DVD release |

Totally unbelievable. The States get a directors commentary, a cast and director commentary, two featurettes, and a music video. We get a directors commentary and oh, a slip! Hard to believe we're living in the 21st century when a bluray has the same extras as the dvd - even down to the slip cover.

Does anyone know if the UK Blu-ray preserves the 1.85:1 aspect ratio? The US edition is cropped to 1.77:1.

Full frame in the UK also, from the identical master. This minimal degree of cropping is more and more common, probably for no better reason than to forestall the usual half-witted whining of the people who complain that they've got black bars at the top and bottom.....

Oh too bad, thank you for the info. I know the cropping is minimal, but if a director chose a 1.85:1 frame, it should be preserved.
I was annoyed that The Avengers Blu-ray was also 1.77:1, but at least it was opened-up to the top and bottom, so no cropping. So I guess the only release of Much Ado with the correct AR is the German Blu-ray, but I want English subtitles, and they're not included. |
