Question The Dark Knight Trilogy Skipping

So, I finally picked up The Dark Knight Trilogy to watch The Dark Knight Rises but I ran into a couple issues. First, it took my PS3 5 - 10 minutes of reading the disc before I could start it up, which isn't a huge issue but still annoying. The second issue is much worse; about half way through it started skipping and stuttering rather frequently. There's no dust, scratches, or smudges on the disc and my PS3 immediately recognizes everything else I put in it (except the one other disc from the trilogy I tried) and I haven't had playback issues with any other movie. Also when I would go back to before a skip or stutter it would play fine the second time, often just to have it happen again 10 - 20 seconds later.

Does anyone know if this is a known issue with this version of the movie? The stand alone version of The Dark Knight I have works flawlessly but the trilogy collection version has the same delayed startup as TDKR, but I didn't try watching through the trilogy version of TDK.

Any insight that could be offered would be greatly appreciated.

I have all three movies on BD (bought separately) and have no issues playing any of them on my Sony standalone.

That's good to hear. Hopefully I can just exchange it out an get a working copy. I'm just worried because I'm moving and don't have time to check every disc to make sure it works, let alone that I won't even have a TV available for some time.

The Dark Knight skipped while the little pudgy fella was getting all suspicious about the department Freeman was operating and Freeman just told him to go do more work, right before they were going into an elevator or something. Just skipped 3 seconds and it was fine. Ordered online fro BB ... paid full price because I really really wanted it so will probably exchange the disk. GOnna e-mail them

When The Joker throws Rachel out the window and Batman jumps to save her and then next scene is the following day that isn't your disc skipping, just bad writing. The scene where Batman calls the Joker and his men upstairs with all the hostages a cab is going to be a deleted scene on the Uber-Trilogy Set.

Sounds like you have a lazy PS3 laser.

Nevermind, if TDK works then it's probably just the disks.
