Default Call Of Duty: Ghosts

Call of Duty: Ghosts emerges from the darkness thanks to Target and UK retailer Tesco, with the former advertising a release date of November 5. Meanwhile, a Tesco listing notes a release date of December 30 - early November is the traditional Call of Duty ETA. The box art posted on Tesco (see below the break for a snippet) features Infinity Ward's logo.

We know (as if we didn't before) that Activision has another edition of its shooter series slated for this year. "The Call of Duty franchise continues to set the bar for innovation," company CFO Dennis Durkin said during Activision's February earnings call, "And we expect the new Call of Duty game in development for 2013 to raise that bar even higher."

I'm always open to anything they wanna do. Although I get sick of COD games quickly, still fun to pick up and play to reconnect with my friends who live across the country.

I've been reading some rumors regarding Call of Duty: Ghosts. One that sounds really cool is that they're suppose to have dynamic loading screens. So instead of watching a timer countdown before the match starts, you're going to repel down a building and crash through a window, or something to that affect. It will probably include the mechanic that has players pressing a certain button at a certain time. Also you're suppose to be able to run and slide, and possibly role while in the prone position.

Another rumor that is interesting is that Infinity Ward is working destructible environments. However, they're apparently having difficulty implementing it into multiplayer.

Destructible environments is a huge reason why I love Battlefield more than COD. Just so realistic. Dynamic loading screens to me is just a waste of resources better used to improve other aspects.

Trailer is up for it. No gameplay but letting you know you can pre order it. Too bad it isn't the real Infinity Ward.

Thank goodness the real IW (respawn ent.) is making a Xbox exclusive. Yay PS4 nor PC will not get it.

I'm excited about the new direction they're taking with the game. MW3 was a disappointment in my opinion, and I think this could be a refreshing new start.

I think it's time for the game to go back to the WWII time period. That's when the game was at its best to me.

I think its time to retire the series for a few years honestly. I've purchased my last COD (BO2) ever. I'll stick with BF4 if anything for a shooter from now on.

Will be interesting to see if IW fixes the framerate issue that was present on the Ps3 versions now that the next gen systems have the same hardware basically.

I have a feeling there might be some cross connection with the MW Franchise.

I agree I would love to see some return to that.

I agree with this. Activision will kill it like Guitar Hero. Let be simmer for a few years and focus on a different IP.

I believe they will. I had that problem as well playing on my buddies PS3. I hope we get a steady 60fps and with the new systems we should.

Even a one year break would be nice. So if the next one were to come out in 2015 that'd be fine. But of course that will never happen seeing how much money this franchise makes.

I decided that on my way home from school today I would pre-order Call of Duty: Ghosts! I got a sweet poster and a ghost weapon camo unlocked in Black Ops 2!

If you want exclusive content first go for the Durango/720. Xbox always seems to want to pay Activision big bucks to get the DLC first. Some guy was asking about Moon when it was on DLC and I told him I was going to play it and then he asked when it was coming to PS3 and I told him he would have to wait as it was coming on xbox first. He then raged pretty bad and I proceeded to chuckle at his displeasure. He asked why PS3 didn't get it the same day and I told him that Microsoft again played extra to get the DLC first.

I wonder if they will do it again with Ghost.

If I were a betting man, I would absolutely think that microsoft was going to pay off Activision once more for DLC content. Imagine, the first big DLC launch for a new system, Sony needs to loosen their purse straps. They've just posted a sexy profit and the execs said no raises to help keep Sony in the black....that tells me they're either preparing for a little bit of a loss, or can spend money on nicer things for next generation. Either way, the race for COD DLC will pay off to whomever can get it!

As for the game, I'll probably buy it on either 360 or PS3 if it comes out before the new systems. I've learned with launches that something always goes wrong so will have no problem buying the game twice.

FYI, if you preorder this at GS you get a crappy poster, (ok a decent poster) but you also get an exclusive Ghost skin for you weapons in Blops II.

I hope this is worth the $60 it'll be. Even though it isn't "IW" I hope it has a interesting story.

Well it’s finally happened, Call of Duty Ghosts (XBox 360) is in the hands of one lucky fan. Which means from this point forward you should be cautious of any spoilers. And for the record, we dont post any campaign spoilers on this site..

Did we mention Call of Duty Ghosts is 2 disc? because it is……Why is it 2 disc? we’re not sure yet, we’ll let you know if we hear anything.

UPDATE: The same user has posted a new image showing that one of the discs will be an install disc. The exact size that it will install has not been specified yet.

I just finished the campaign last night. The addition of the dog was a nice touch and the underwater and space sequences were neat, but overall I wasn't especially impressed. I'm gonna do something I don't usually do and go trade this game back in while the trade-in value is still decent.

Don't worry I've already done that. Game isn't worth keeping. I only paid $20 for it so I went to Best Buy and got back $40 for it. I would have gotten probably the same at GS but I wanted the BB credit.
