World War Z is 3D?

edit: Okay, five minutes worth of researching and yep, it is; http://www.boxoffice.com/statistics/3d-release-calendar

It just doesn't say it on the technical specifications on IMDb. But I am going to have to stop trusting them, because for the longest time they didn't have Iron Man 3, or Man of Steel listed, even though I'd heard from many other sources that they indeed were, including Kevin Feige announcing that all future Marvel films will be 3D.

Right around the corner.

I hope Iron Man 3 is as epic as Avengers was, which is not likely, but hopefully more adventure than what was in Iron Man 2. The 3D trailer doesn't show much of the power of the enemy yet, other than Ben Kingsley.

3D is looking good. If the same team as Avengers' 3D as suggested, then we're in good shape for the 3D.

Bump Thread:

Iron Man 3, May 3, 2013. About 15 days, or 2 weeks before it hits theaters.
It's possible we haven't seen a lot of the enemy confrontations in the trailers, as they're probably still working on the special effects and converting the 3D, oftentimes right up till the week the film is released, getting it out at the last possible deadline.

Jeff Bridges Iron Man 1.
Mickey Rourke Iron Man 2.
Ben Kingsley Iron Man 3.
[Show spoiler]Enemies for Iron Man. Slight spoiler for those who haven't seen the movies.

I think Kingsley's power would have to be beyond physical. Maybe projectiles or clever traps or something. Mandarin the Villain, I'd have to research more. For the Iron Man team to assemble all that back up, this guy has to be pretty formidable.

The Mandarin
[Show spoiler]is basically a pawn. The real villain is Aldrich Killian, played by Guy Pearce

Awesome. Thanks. Guy Pearce is cool, ever since
[Show spoiler]I saw him in Count of Monte Cristo, Memento, LA Confidential, through his recent movies too. Lockout reminded me of Deep Rising a little bit. Spoiler tag because I'm way off topic here.

I should've checked out the cast list on IMDB, but this saves me the time. Thanks again, blu-ray_girl_fan.

Cant wait to see this one. It opens in 3 days here. They have the Avengers on the night before, which would be great to see but I dont know if I can get out there.

The 1st Iron Man seemed better than the 2nd so I hope this is as good as The Avengers,Thor & Captain America. I liked the 3D in all of these.

Here's hoping it matches the Avenger's 3D action scenes, which were impressive.

3 Days, nice. That is much earlier than the US May 3rd release, but I can understand why they do that, since World Wide Tickets most times account for a bigger portion of overall sales. That has been the case where if it weren't for worldwide ticket sales, many movies I like wouldn't have sequels, so much thanks in that regard!

Looking forward to this one and it's 3D.

Iron Man 3's 3D is okay. It has that converted look, but as always, when there's lots of CGI on screen it gets a bit better. As I said in another thread, it make you go; "weee!!", and that's nearly all. One sequence I believe had added emotional depth due to the 3D. I'll buy it in 3D, but won't watch it that way every single time.

AMC and Regal over the revenue for Iron Man 3, interesting. Thanks for the link MSeeley.

Thanks for the info. How did you enjoy the movie compared to 1 and 2?

That sounds promising. Would you say as good as Avengers' 3D? I have to watch that again before checking this out next week.

I liked the movie. It was fun. Nothing spectacular, nothing epic. Just good clean fun, with some pretty good drama at odd times throughout. Of course, amazing action and special effects (which goes hand in hand with Marvel), and every permanence is just what it needs to be, and no one goes over the top striving for an illusive Oscar.

I'd agree Iron Man's conversion is on par with Avengers. I rate them both 6/10 for 3D quality. I'd rate Iron Man 3; 8/10 as a movie.

Just for your information, the term "blind buy" means buying a movie you haven't seen. And, oh man! it can be disastrous some times...

Excellent avatar!

That sounds good. Thanks AmrlKJaneway. If the 3D's on par with Avengers' stronger 3D during the CGI action scenes, we're in really good shape. I agree, most of the dialog shots and most of the non-CGI shots in Avengers had decent 3D at best.

Cool. Thanks for the news.

--------
One possible reason Iron Man 3 starts earlier in countries outside the US is due to the fact worldwide theaters earn a major portion of ticket sales, often times more than the US alone. Or maybe they complete the marketing, arrangements earlier outside the US?

Anyone know a good reason why movies like Iron Man 3 don't release at the same time everywhere in the world?
