Default Fight Club steelbook

Hey Guys! Which FIGHT CLUB steelbook is the best to get as far as a/v and extras? Not concerned about artwork. Thanks!

True, but the OP is only interested in the A/V quality and extras.

Love my Play.com UK steel. Super nice.

A/V and extras seem to be as good as any release.

I have both and think the german has better art but as stated the play version has the fox disc which is fantastic, it is far superior to any dvd release... I already had the regular amaray release before I got the german steel so I just swapped the discs and my play steel is sealed... I don't own duplicates of many movies but this is one of my favs so I don't mind

Thanks for the info guys! You've been a big help. So it looks like the UK sb is the way to go then.

For whatever reason it's difficult to find out the extras on these steelbooks. I just want to be sure before I spend after market prices on these things.

Also, what about the SILENCE OF THE LAMBS UK sb? A/v, extras? Better than US blu-ray/dvd combo standard case (which is OOP)?

Finally, what about the WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT Zaavi sb? Does it have same extras as US disc, a/v??

Thanks again, guys!

most of the ones that have been previously released on blu are repackages of already existing discs as in the case of fight club and I'm pretty sure silence of the lambs is the same... I ordered that one as well but I haven't received it yet... that movie desperately needs a remaster but I'm going to guess its just another repackage... so for extras I would look up the standard releases and most likely they will be the same... sometimes if you google image search the steelbooks you can find pics of the j-cards which may help

Disney released Roger Rabbit in the US and the UK - same disc - check the US review.

MGM (through Fox) released Silence of the Lambs in the US and the UK - same disc - check the US review.

As a general rule if it's the same studio releasing in both countries it's going to be the same disc. And the steelbook will be the same as the standard release which preceded it. A few exceptions of course but not many...

.
Wrong. The UK disc is missing the text commentary.

Fight Club UK steelbook is nice - not great - but its nice. Disc is great.

Silence of the Lambs UK steelbook is very nice - I like this one. The disc is the same as the existing release and yes the transfer is a bit poor really - Im not sure it could look better as thats the way it was filmed. It really does look like a documentary/TV film at times.
