Refurbished PS3

Just wondering if anyone has bought a refurb PS3 from gamestop or anywhere. I'm looking to buy a 40 gig for my other tv and was wondering what kind of warranty comes with a refurb and what comes in the box.

never bought a refurb but most of the time for other products its the same 1yr manufacturer warranty

i believe gamestop is 30 days. but you can buy an extended warranty kinda cheap

but a lexus is still a lexus, no matter how old.

my guess is you will have extreme good luck or bad. the way i look at it, once its broke, then the fix is temporary, i would jsut go new

refurbished is better than new.

the real question is, is the playstation you're getting actually refurbished

How is that even close to True?

At Future Shop, most of the refurbs we sold of anything always came back, because they missed something wrong or didn't fix it correctly

Also, buying a Certified Toyota is a bit different, they're much more expensive, and the depreciation is much greater than a ps3

if its actually refurbished..it should always be true. refurbished is guaranteed to work because its tested before its resold. you could get a dud with anything new

Most of the time, places say Refurbished when it's just used. They're still tested, but it's not quite the same as 'factory refurbished', which I think some folks are thinking of.

as was said b4 i think its hit or miss you could have something work for years and it be the best thing you bought or it could be a dud but that can happen with new things as well

I bought a recertified 20 GB PS3 back during last summer for $375 or so, best deal i have ever seen. Its now a 120GB and I have never had any problems, though mine is probably one people couldnt sell on ebay.
