Question Epson 8350 0 Lamp Hours

Got new Epson 8350 for the office, and have been using it for almost a week now, I'd say about 9-10 hours in total thus far. When I check the info page, it still says 0 hours under lamp usage entry. Is there a certain threshold that needs to be crossed before it registers? Is this count lost if the power is lost? Have unplugged it 3 times now while moving things around, finishing off the set up. I have not been using the Reset function in the 8350 menu, so I am curious as to why the lamp hours counters is not advancing. Anybody ever see this before or know might what be going on? Brand new unit bought from Amazon. Everything appears okay, but I'd like to be able to track its usage for bulb replacement, etc.

Since the last AC power loss, I unplugged it to add a surge protector this morning, I used it for a 3 hour meeting and at the end of that meeting it still says 0 hours when I checked. My 8700UB is very similar but its lamp hours counter works. I tried Googling it but came up empty. Not sure if this is an issue for Epson to replace or not? Just wondering if this is not working, what else could be wrong in the firmware, electronics that I am not aware of. It seems to be working okay and hold its settings just fine, it's only the lamp hours that is not working.

Okay finally found it in the user manual, after I created this thread. Time to call it a day...

Apparently you need at least 10 hours of usage before it will register and change from 0. Strange way to do it, but I guess it was done that way for a reason.
