Default Recommendations, what are your fav BD titles?

I've just got Blu Ray and watched my first title, Ice Age 2, which looked amazing in Blu Ray, but I ask of you members what your favourite Blu Ray titles are for a someone who is new to Blu Ray, I am keen on seeing alot of animated movies, but open to any suggestions you can throw at me.

For animation, Cars, Ratatouille, Monster House and Happy Feet are all good to really get into some good pq(picture quality, in case you didnt know) try Pan's Labryinth, 3:10 to Yuma, Apocolypto, No Country for Old Men, Blade Runner, Underworld and the spiderman trilogy should knock your socks off.

Thanks. Now I have watched this and largely agree with you. It is reasonably good quality but not the best. I could see noise in darker scenes which could be in the original movie (may be) due to computer processing. 4 out of 5.

Tears of the Sun has stunning pq along w/ Pirates of Carib.// I am Legend
If and when King Kong is released on Blu, that really is something to behold. So far only on HD, but pq is reference indeed

I recommend Casino Royale, Thir13en Ghosts, and the first 3 Harry Potter movies.

Casino Royale, while not a fantastic movie on its own, looks easily the best out of any BD I've ever seen. Hardly any film grain at all, and the colours are vibrant. Thir13en Ghosts is a little grainy, but only natural grain. The close-ups of the demons look very good. All of the Harry Potter movies look great on BD, although Prizoner of Azkaban beats them all.

Below are the animated movies that I have on blu-ray. I tried to rank them according to how much I enjoyed the movie and just made an occasional PQ comment when necessary (since animated movies, in general, look great).

Ice Age
Ice Age: The Meltdown
Cars (one of the best blu-rays PQ-wise)
Surfs Up
The Simpson's Movie
The Polar Express (Christmas movie, in case you didn't know that already)
Happy Feet
Ratatouille (one of the best blu-rays PQ-wise, most would probably have this at the top of the list)
Meet the Robinsons
Chicken Little
Dinosaur (PQ isn't as good as most animated titles)
Pixar Short Film Collection (PQ varies, some of the early ones don't look as good)
The Wild
Corpse Bride
Monster House
A Scanner Darkly
TMNT
---------
Happily N'Ever After (looks good but I didn't really like this one so I don't recommend it)
