Default Using 2 different type subs?

I have a ported PSA XV15 and a Jamo 15" sealed Sub,the model is sub 7.. What would the ramifications be for using both?

I also have an XV-15,and my other sub is a sealed 12'' Emotiva. I'm sure others can chime in with better info, but they seem to play well with each other,i think you could use both your subs as long as they don't cancel each other out.

I have two SVS PB12-NSD ported subs and two BIC America F12 sealed subs.

Fortunately for me, I have them hooked up to my Onkyo receiver, with the latest *Audyssey calibration program.
Audyssey did a masterful job, of seamlessly blending my ported and sealed subs together.

They sound and "feel" great together in my room.

*From Chris Kyriakakis at Audyssey:
Quote:
MultEQ XT32 is our newest and most accurate room correction solution
with more than ten thousand individual control points allowing finer details of
the room’s problems to be captured and corrected.
The ultra high resolution filters are applied to all channels including the
subwoofers, with the most obvious benefit being heard in the low frequency
range where correction is needed the most.

Sub EQ HT is a method we came up with to deal with multiple subs.
If you only have one sub then it's not in use.
The idea is to first measure each sub separately, then apply delay and level
settings so that the two subs are now time and level aligned.
Then we ping them once more as "one" sub to derive the room correction filter.

I had mismatched subs for a couple of years. I wouldn't do it again after hearing the difference (in my room at least). Id like to hear how that quad mix of ported and sealed subs sound with Audyssey.

I presently run a velo ct150 & SVS PB12 NSD/2 and ya it took a lot of tweakin, but fortunately both have variable phase adjustments. Before the svs I was running 2 velo ct120's and that ct150.
It can be done IMO...
