saw SS in the theater back in the day.
such a cool film at the time, although I'm a sucker for train movies.
imo it's still the best Pryor film hands down.
very excited to finally get a blu-ray release; been a long wait.

Definitely in for Lucas and Silver Streak.

I've been close to buying Lucas on DVD lately, so I'm glad I didn't! It's like they read my mind.

As for Silver Streak, I hope the rest of Colin Higgins films are not too far behind (Foul Play, Best Little *****house In Texas, 9 To 5). I know, different companies, but these need to be on blu-ray!

Wow! I was just thinking about how Silver Streak could use an upgrade just the other day. First Runaway Train gets announced in the UK, now another great train movie is coming! Now all I need is for John Frankenheimer's The Train to make it to blu-ray!

Someone should remind people that they, you know, abandoned their horror business a decade ago when Bill Lustig left to do Blue Underground full time.

Time to get over it, folks. Anchor Bay's horror heyday ended like 10 YEARS AGO. Yeah, they were great in the late-'90s and early-2000s, but that's simply not their core business anymore (with the exception of a select few horror titles lingering in their catalog, that just get re-released ad nauseam).

When are people gonna let it go? Hop in your time machine if you really want Anchor Bay to release deep horror catalog titles again...

See post right above yours. People need to stop wishing for the Anchor Bay of 1999 and get with reality.

Plus, Kerri Green!

One of the major reasons I still have a thing for redheads to this day (along with April O'Neil ).

So down for "Lucas". Definitely an 80s favorite and hands down Haim's best performance. Such a shame he saw such an untimely end, he was a really nice guy in person.

I'm with you as far as seeing this in the theater (... a few times). I'll add to your thought by saying (to me) it's the best Pryor/Wilder collaboration. I hope the bluray restoration does the film justice.

It's a pretty ugly film, I can't imagine it looking "great".

"Accurate to the source" should be the goal.

Looking forward to getting a blu of Wing Commander. While not the best film, it had some good visuals and it will be nice to replace my old non-anamorphic dvd with a 16:9 bluray.

Hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer to get blu's of
Lake Placid, Volcano, Firestorm, and Strange Days.
