Flixster adds ability to delete UltraViolet movies

For those of you wanting to get rid of some of the free titles that Flixster automatically added to your collection, now you can. Just click on the movie information page, and find the link in the upper right hand corner to delete the film. It will only work on films acquired through flixster.

This interests me as I have some duplicates that were added from both Flixter and Vudu when I initially signed up for them. have you done this already? does it delete only from your flixster account or does it delete from your UV account as well?

So far I've delete a couple that were doubled up from both services, and it does only delete the Flixster version. However, there are a couple that the system won't delete (seems random) and I have not deleted any of the doubles/triples from Flixster redemption errors.

Yes, it will delete from your UV account, but if the title was added by vudu and flixster, it may not work.

Well Id like to see some of my doubles disappear just because it clutters everything up over at uvvu.com. But mainly, I'd like to fix my batman set. I originally redeemed The Dark Knight and the months later redeemed the Dark Knight Trilogy. Because of the time between redemptions, over at flixster, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Rises are next to each other, but The Dark Knight is further down the list. I just find this extremely annoying and it hurts my OCD riddled brain.

So has anyone actually been able clean doubles out that were both from flixster (as opposed to from different providers)?

I have Game of Shadows that redeemed incorrectly in SD; after some emails they finally added the HD version, but they ADDED it, instead of just upgrading the SD so now both are in my locker.

I don't want to delete it and end up losing both.

I might be missing something here, but why bother? Is there a downside to having a movie in your account twice, or in both SD and HD?

Were you asking me? If so - just for consistency and neatness I guess. I'm not full on OCD or anything but it looks odd, to me, having the same title twice in my UV locker.

(Oh, forgot to mention, the HD versions already say available in Standard and High Definition)

I logged into my UV acct and I see what you mean - I have a few multiples. Most of the duplicates in my UV locker seem to have originated from CinemaNow, even though I only redeemed/purchased each movie once.

I primarily use Vudu, and nothing shows up twice in my library there. Vudu seems the be the most reliable of all the UV compatible services.

In uvvu if you click the Warner brothers tab it will show you just flixster acquired movies so you know what can be deleted. Oddly enough of the 4 Austin powers sd copies I have none were via flixster.
