It's less than a month until this comes out. Sweet Jesus, am I excited for this. Might be my most anticipated of the year.

I'd love to have Warriors of the Wind on a DVD or Blu-ray, even in just VHS quality. Miyazaki loathes that version and I have no doubt it's terrible but it's a curiosity I'm very interested in at least owning because I love collecting Studio Ghibli stuff

When's the price for this and Howl coming down? Aren't they going to run some offer like last year? I still remember picking Arrietty, Whisper and Castle for less than 19 each.

I believe they were all $22.99 on release day last year and Target had a save $8 when you buy two titles deal. Unfortunately neither of this year's titles are listed in the Target ad that has been posted so I'm not even sure if they'll have them in store on release day. I will probably end up keeping my Amazon pre-order for both and hoping the prices drop to $22.99.

We can stop worrying about the "dubtitles" issue, because the English subtitles are the literal translation of the original Japanese version, not captions for the corresponding dub & are not identical to the subtitles from the North American Disney DVD releases.

You can save these blu-rays for birthdays & christmas days!

From what I recall n previous posts, yes. But I am fairly new to these Studio Ghibli releases, on blu, which I love. First one i started with was Ponyo and have been getting them all ever since.

I'm really hoping the prices are going to come down on this and Howls Moving Castle.

Give us a coupon Disney!!!! $22.99 is pretty much the max i'm willing to pay for a blu-ray these days and I really have to think on it. If money weren't an issue or they ever went on sale on Amazon japan I'd buy the japanese Blu-rays. I'd get them sooner and I like the packaging art better

to bad the japanese and even official Hong Kong copies are so expensive

I'm kind of shocked that there aren't any deals on these films yet. And I'm a big enough of a sucker for these films to pay full price for both.
