Hello everyone,

Somebody told me that the Blu-ray players will have MHP capabilities... does somebody know about this? how true is that?

Thanks.

:cool I found that BD-J is based on GEM (Globally Executable MHP)... therefore, "full-profile" players will have MHP capabilities. It's so bad that first releases of BD players don't support BD-J

So I suppose it'll just be the movie what's on the disc, without menu, right..? I hope it won't affect copy protection related issues... Since you cannot play any 'demo' games anymore on the Xbox360 because of something similar...

Actually, it is the movie with navigation capabilities (menu for title access and things like that), but it doesn't execute Java (GEM) applications included in the disk.

You'll be pleased to know that all Blu-ray players support BD-J. Full profile includes mandatory internet support and a few other features, but every player has to include BD-J.
