I haven't seen it but I plan to get it, if for nothing else than the nostalgia-factor. I grew-up listening to their Christmas records.

It was a rental from Blockbuster, glad I didn't do a blind buy on this.

Yep, same here. I highly recommend it as a family flick or if you've had any exposure to Alvin and the Chipmunks in the past (and liked them). I thought they did a pretty good job with the live actors/cgi characters. Occasionally when he would grab one, it didn't look quite right but overall, it seemed pretty believable to me.
