Default Action Horror

I'm all for the classics and the award winning stuff, but there's another side of me that loves simplistic action horror flicks. However, because it's a fairly small sub-genre, I've burned through most of the popular ones. Do y'all have any you can add to the list for me to watch?

Here are the ones I've seen (liked all of them):

Resident Evil series
Underworld series
Blade series
Constantine
Priest
Legion
Daybreakers
30 Days of Night
Doom
The Thing

From Dusk Till Dawn Trilogy - First one is the best, 2nd is really cheesy and the 3rd was a step up from part 2, but nothing special.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Yeah, I had From Dusk Till Dawn in my hands yesterday at Target ($5), but put it back for some reason. I've seen it for that price numerous times, so I'll get it next time.

I have seen Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, pretty good.

Aliens vs Predator series
Monster Squad

I also totally agree with Aliens and Freddy vs Jason. Those were the first 2 to come to mind.

Thought it’d be a great time to revive this thread with Halloween incoming.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite genres. I think it stems from, as a kid, being afraid, but seeing your heroes take down these threats in awesome action sequences. Makes you not as scared.

ALIENS - maybe the GOAT of action horror
PREDATOR - also, maybe the GOAT of action horror
From Dusk till Dawn
Outpost - not as well known, but I love it
Dog Soldiers
The Resident Evil series
WWZ
John Carpenter’s Vampires

Ryan Coogler’s SINNERS has me very excited for this genre too!

OMG, how could I forget The Descent? Great action horror! Love it when the girls take the climbing axes to the Crawlers

Renfield of 2023, for sure.
Train to Busan I guess could qualify.

Horror-Action films are fun. Of course Army of Darkness and the new
Ash vs Evil Dead series is a must-see for horror action fans. Lots of gory action of Ash kicking @ss.
