Anyone seen Southland Tales? - Blu-ray Forum

Just added it to my Netflix queue. I was wondering if it was any good.

I rented it this past weekend, from the trailers awhile back it looked interesting.

Tried watching it, I honestly only made it halfway through.
I don't know, I might've been just distracted but I couldn't get into it.

Saw the ads; read a couple of reviews that basically said the movie made no sense and to avoid it at all costs - so I naturally had to see it.

Unfortunately they were right this time. It was mostly people doing funny or stupid things throughout the entire movie with a serious demeanor at all times. It made no sense (I don't think it was meant to) and took itself way too seriously. It was a rambling incoherrent disaster in my opinion.

I'm not gonna call it a BAD film, 'cause there's stuff in there I liked, The Rock for instance. His performance is really good, he turns that character around so often and makes it look effortless. Mr Timberlake surprised me as well. Unfortunately a lot of the greatness is buried underneath borderline gibberish. Oh, and Christopher Lambert proves once again that he should either retire or at least get some formal acting/voice lessons.
