Ok guys, just felt like sharing this and getting your opinons on it. I highly doubt it will be done. Just more of a 2 cents talk about.
I saw this online the other day and thought to myself that theres no way possible that this has been announced. Esspecially 13 years from now. George will be walking around with his walker during production if this happen. Star Wars Episode 7 vii Full Movie Title: Star Wars Episode 7 - The Hidden Circle Theatrical Release Date: 20 May 2021 Production Budget: $ 140 million U.S. dollars Director: Unknown at this time. Potential candidates: James Cameron (Aliens, The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Titanic) Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, Black Hawk Down and Hannibal) Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy) David Fincher (Se7en, Fight Club and Panic Room) Ron Howard (Willow, A Beautiful Mind and The DaVinci Code) Steven Spielberg (Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the Indiana Jones films, E.T.: The Extraterrestrial, Jurassic Park and The War of the Worlds) Executive Producer: George Lucas Script Writer: Unknown Story Idea: George Lucas Cast of Actors: Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia Organa Solo, Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian, Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca, Ray Park as Darth Maul and Anthony Daniels as C-3PO Other Characters: Wedge Antilles, Ben Skywalker, Anakin Solo, Asp, Shindor, Spiden, Mara Jade Skywalker, R2-D2, Admiral Ackbar, Mon Mothma, Kyle Katarn, Garm Bel Iblis, Kyp Durron, Garindan, Sifo Dyas and Corran Horn Type of Film Genre: Action, adventure, science fiction and fantasy __________________________ Star Wars Episode 8 viii Full Movie Title: Star Wars Episode 8 - The Republic In Crisis Theatrical Release Date: 23 May 2024 Production Budget: $ 140 million U.S. dollars Director: Unknown at this time. Jackson as Mace Windu, Jeremy Bulloch as Boba Fett, Temuera Morrison as the voice of Boba Fett and Anthony Daniels as C-3PO Other Characters: Talon Karrde, Fis Fis Binks, Kitster, Sly Moore, R5-D4, Dash Rendar, Tarfful, Grand Admiral Thrawn, Bossk, Sio Bibble, Wicket W. Warrick and Asajj Ventress Type of Film Genre: Action, adventure, science fiction and fantasy __________________________ Star Wars Episode 9 ix Full Movie Title: Star Wars Episode 9 - Victory of the Force Theatrical Release Date: 20 May 2027 (50th Anniversary of Star Wars Episode 4 - A New Hope) Production Budget: $ 140 million U.S. dollars Director: Unknown at this time. Potential candidates: James Cameron, Ridley Scott, Peter Jackson, David Fincher, Ron Howard and Steven Spielberg Executive Producer: George Lucas Script Writer: Unknown Story Idea: George Lucas Cast of Actors: Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia Organa Solo, Billy Dee Williams as Lando Calrissian, Peter Mayhew as Chewbacca, Hayden Christensen as the clone of Anakin Skywalker and as the Jedi Spirit of Anakin Skywalker, Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu and the Jedi Spirit of Mace Windu, Liam Neeson as the Jedi Spirit of Qui-Gon Jinn, Frank Oz as the voice of the Jedi Spirit of Yoda and Anthony Daniels as C-3PO Other Characters: Exar Kun, Lobot, Leektar, Tion Medon, Nien Nunb, Prince Xizor, Aurra Sing, Vergere, Darth Bane and Quinlan Vos Brief Appearances: Force ghosts of Shmi Skywalker, Owen Lars, Beru Lars, Bail Organa, Biggs Darklighter & Padme Skywalker Special Ancient Jedi Cameos: Jedi Force spirits of Kaja Sinis, Aenon Jurtis, Shinto Beerus, Bontu Sitmus and Ce Ce Denowai Type of Film Genre: Action, adventure, science fiction and fantasy George Lucas: You‘re going to be greatly disappointed in the next trilogy. Revenge of the Sith is the darkest of the Star Wars films because it represents the destruction of the Jedi and the Old Republic. In contrast, Episode 7, 8 and 9 are bright and happy films. No darkness at all in the new trilogy. I plan to introduce many characters similar to the Ewoks and Jar Jar Binks to further brighten the demeanor of the films. After all, the primary target group for Star Wars is children. I want children to be able to greatly enjoy the final trilogy that will be made in my lifetime. Some children probably didn‘t enjoy Revenge of the Sith as much as the previous Star Wars films. Without doubt, the children are going to love Episode 7. We‘re going to have singing and a lot of hugging and sharing of love in Episode 7. Everybody is celebrating the rebirth of the New Jedi Order and the New Republic. I want to reflect this happiness on film by having scenes that show how elated everyone is in the films. You can expect to see several dancing and singing scenes at the beginning, middle and end of Episode 7. Gee, that quote sounds like Teletubies Star Wars with special guest apperances of Barney. Yup, I say its all FUD for the moment, but only time will tell. Last edited by danay82; 03-31-2008 at 06:46 AM. |

So, what's sadder?:
Apr. 1 postings that "just can't wait", or dopey wishful fanboy-cliche' ones? ![]() (Oh, and you forgot to stick Tim Burton on the "geek-rumor" director list. Yes, it makes no absolutely no sense, but like Peter Jackson did...) |

Thats complete nonsense. I was under the impression that George said episodes 1-3 were going to be the last of the trilogy and that he was getting too old to continue making them. The last things you will see of star wars are the live action tv show and the clone wars cartoon.

The only live action starwars we will be seeing is the series that will be coming out on hbo or cinemax. Which will only deal with side characters such as boba fett.

A-men... give me stop-motion, miniatures, and costumes over CGI anyday. Granted, CGI is pretier, but the other stuff is more "real" to me... I'd take a guy in an ewok or wookie costume over a CGI Jar-Jar any day. I'll also take the Classic Jabba over the "Special Edition" Jabba.

![]() I only wrote what, 5 sentences, the rest are cut and paste out of the article. George did say he made storeyboards beyond Return of the Jedi a few years ago. Their probably still in his bathroom with daily adds. Will he produce them to the big screen? I doubt it for he is getting to old. Never know maybe someone else will at LucasFilms once he retires. |

I agree. While I definitely see Lucas as money hungry, I don't think this would happen at the hands of George Lucas. Who knows, though, if he works a deal with someone else to work on these films, maybe even give the rights in his will! But, we won't see a live action Star Wars for a long time...

Ford will be 85 in 2027 and Hamill will be 76. You do the math.

It's like beyond obvious that that is a joke.
![]() Having read some of the books years ago... the post-E6 Star Wars story isn't very friendly to a movie. There are actually books leading up to their present age (I think) and I'm sure some could be a movie, but I think there's too much information too spread out for them to get there. After seeing E1 and E2 I have no real desire to any new sequels anyways, despite a nice E3 the old joy of Star Wars kind of got burned out of me by Lucas and his childrens' movie. Had the tone of E5 and E6 been projected into present day technology there could have been real LOTR potential in Star Wars. I think E1-3 are going to be pretty forgettable in 50 years. Maybe Terminator will get it right, I've never even been a fan of those movies but the casting of Christian Bale is a good sign. Last edited by Astalder; 04-02-2008 at 12:48 AM. |
