Hey mods, I posted a great PS3 for $199 joke in the Hot Deals forum (linked to a muppets rick roll site, with a fake Amazon link), and you removed it... what crap!

Where is your sense of humor on this fools day...?
Did you get "fooled" and now sad?
Take a vacation!

No they were getting out of hand. Several threads in the hot deals section were starting to really grind my gears.

I did a great one earlier today. One of my co-workers was away from his desk, so I grabbed a small piece of tape, colored the smooth-side with a sharpy, and stuck it to the bottom of his optical mouse. When he came back he couldn't get his mouse to work.

We all got a good laugh out of it, no one expected innocent me to pull a prank on them.

What did it cost you, a lost moment of seriousness in your short life?

I think the site should put up a fake news story, to celebrate the day and get a good joke over on all of us; most companies and sites do this every year and its only one day; and would it really hurt to delete the posts tomorrow instead of today.

If a large serious company like Google can pull a joke on its users every year, why can’t Blu-ray?

Its stupid, its just a stupid day out of the year that everyone thinks is this huge deal. I along with im betting several hundreds of people visit the forums FOR NEWS and DEALS, not some crap just because its april 1 for some stupid ass articles that are false or misleading. The site is here for NEWS, not fake news.

We're not google, and they're not bluray.com.

I agree. It's not like a verbal joke... these things stay around and will get brought up time after time especially by new members. Six months from now we could still be answering posts about Star wars coming out imminently for £5.00 (or something similar).

We have enough of that without it being April 1st.

I am glad that they don't allow joke topics, I come here to read the news and see what people are talking about. if I want jokes then I'd go out and talk with people or go to a joke site.
